Joshua, in his own words……

I have always been curious about what makes people who they are, the experiences that shape us, the relationships that influence us, and the different ways we make sense of our lives. As a Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern, I have had the opportunity to work with individuals, couples, families, and groups who all come into therapy with their own experiences, perspectives, and stories.

I believe therapy can be a place to slow down and take a closer look at what is happening in your life. Sometimes we know that something is bothering us, that we feel stuck, or that we want something to change, but it can be difficult to fully understand what is happening or where to begin. Other times, we may have a pretty good idea of what is wrong but have not had the space to really talk about it or explore it. I am interested in helping people better understand themselves, their relationships, and the experiences that have shaped them.I don’t believe therapy is about imposing answers or telling you how to live your life. Instead, it’s a focused space where we actively clarify what matters to you and collaborate on practical, meaningful steps to get you where you want to be

My clinical experience includes working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. My approach has been influenced by systemic, narrative, and solution-focused ways of thinking about therapy. This means I am interested not only in the problem that brings you in, but also in the relationships, experiences, environments, and stories that may be influencing how you understand yourself and what you are going through. I am also trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 and Collaborative Divorce

About Me.....

Outside of being a therapist, I value connection, curiosity, creativity, and meaningful experiences. I enjoy traveling, experiencing new places and perspectives, and engaging in art and creative activities. I appreciate the many different ways people express themselves and make meaning from their experiences.

I have also had my own experiences with anxiety and understand how overwhelming and frustrating it can be, especially when familiar feelings resurface after you thought you had worked through them. One thing I have learned is that progress does not always mean something disappears forever. Sometimes challenges return, but that does not mean you are back at the beginning. Over time, they can become more understandable and manageable.

I believe being human means continually learning about ourselves and growing through new experiences. That is part of what I find meaningful about therapy. I genuinely enjoy getting curious with people, exploring questions without easy answers, and creating space for a deeper understanding of their experiences. My hope is that therapy with me feels like a place where you can show up as you are—without having the right words or everything figured out—and we can begin from there.
